| Invite a State legislator to tour your business. Tell
them about your products and services. Let them know what is on your
mind. A legislator's views on bills are often impacted by meeting and
hearing directly from employers in their legislative districts. This
is why NJBIA encourages all member companies to participate in our

Hosting legislators at your facility creates at least four tangible
benefits: 1. It shows the economic contributions your company
makes to New Jersey by showcasing the products and/or services you
provide and the people you employ.
2. It provides you and the legislator with the opportunity
to establish a working relationship.
3. It helps your legislator-who is barraged by countless
issues and interest groups-understand your business concerns more
clearly.
4. It allows you to demonstrate how a proposed new law or
regulation would affect the operation of your business.
