Contact: Chris Biddle, ext. 227New Jersey's women state Senators-Diane Allen, Martha Bark, Barbara Buono, Nia Gill and Shirley Turner-will be honored Tuesday at a Trenton reception entitled Five and Counting: an Event Honoring the Women of the New Jersey Senate.
The reception will begin shortly after the Governor's Budget Address (approximately 2:00 p.m.) on February 4, and will be held at Lorenzo's Café, 66 South Clinton Avenue, in Trenton. The NJ Policy Research Organization, the research arm of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), and NJBIA's Women Business Leaders Network, are sponsoring the event.
"This is an opportunity for New Jersey's women business leaders to express our appreciation and our thanks to New Jersey's women political leaders in the state Senate," said Event Chair Charlene Brown of AT&T. "These five women have demonstrated leadership, achievement, intelligence and determination in their public service. They deserve the recognition and thanks of all New Jersey residents."
