NJ Business Closing & Layoff Penalty Act - New Jersey requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide 60 days notice prior to terminating 50 or more full-time employees within a 30-day period. The law also applies to business closings. Employers that fail to meet the law’s requirements face big penalties.

NJ Rapid Response Team (RRT) - The NJ Department of Labor assists both employers and workers involved in a closing or permanent mass layoff. The Rapid Response Team provides on-site assistance during your working hours and at no cost to you. It also provides employment resources to workers who have lost their jobs.
