| Codey Pledges Healthcare
Reform, Supports Minimum Wage Increase
at NJBIA Public Policy Forum |
| Acting Governor Richard
Codey pledged to reform New Jersey 's
healthcare system to help reduce costs
to employers who provide health benefits
to their employees, but also said he
supported an unspecified increase in
the minimum wage. Speaking to about 300
business leaders at NJBIA's Public Policy
Forum on December 14, Codey also said
he expected the renewal of the Transportation
Trust Fund to be either completed or
nearly completed by the end of next year
and ready for the ballot in the 2006
election. |

Products on Display at the State House in Trenton |
| New Jersey manufactured products were
put on display at the State House in Trenton on December
13. It was all part of Made in New Jersey Day, an event
organized by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association
(NJBIA), designed to highlight the products and innovations
of New Jersey manufacturers. |

| NJBIA Honors Eight Companies at Awards For Excellence Dinner in Princeton |
| The New Jersey Business & Industry Association on October 19 bestowed
its Award for Excellence on eight companies at its annual awards dinner,
which was held on October 19 at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village.
Three other companies were recognized as Honor Roll recipients. |

State Treasurer John McCormac and a panel of State legislators-lower

or lose manufacturing jobs to other states.
They spoke at NJBIA's first-ever Manufacturing Summit, the kickoff event
for NJBIA's Campaign for Manufacturing Renewal. |
