NJPRO Honors Governor, Five Legislators, and EDA Executive as Leaders of Innovation

The New Jersey Policy Research Organization (NJPRO) Foundation on March 1 presented its first-ever Leaders of Innovation Award to seven State government leaders for the innovative work they have done to ensure continued economic growth and job creation.

Awards were presented to Governor Richard Codey; Senators Paul Sarlo and Robert Singer; Assemblymen

Upendra Chivukula, Joseph Cryan and John Wisniewski; and Caren Franzini, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

"The act of creating something new, of being innovative, is essential to the business community," NJPRO Deputy Director Sara Bluhm said. "Without our honorees today, we would be without many of the innovations that will help businesses for years to come."

The NJPRO Foundation is the public policy research affiliate of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. NJPRO produces innovative, practical research on behalf of New Jersey employers, and in order to provide more efficient and effective government.
