Congratulations are due the Somerset County Business Partnership on two accounts.  First, the organization is celebrating its 100th anniversary, no small achievement.  On behalf of NJBIA, let me just say, “Welcome to the century club!” There’s not many of us: NJBIA turned 100 in 2010 and the State Chamber not long after, so we’re glad to have the company.

Second, congratulations on an amazing BizFest event on June 13. A crowd of over 600 people engaged 80 exhibitors at this year’s event, making it the largest in its history and one of the biggest turnouts for a networking event in the county. Wow!

“Our goal is to bring these companies together in a way that they can not only showcase what they do, but enhance their business presence in the community,” says Chris Edwards, vice president of Business Services. “Making these connections, it’s a win-win for the economy of the county and the businesses who participate.”

Here are some other great chamber events on tap for the coming week. Remember, as an NJBIA member, you get member pricing at these events as well:

  • Tuesday evening, the Camden County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business After Hours networking event at Houlihan’s in Cherry Hill.
  • The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce will welcome a new business to Turnersville with a Ribbon Cutting at The Wing Kitchen on Wednesday.
  • On Thursday morning, find out more about the Port Authority’s Newark Liberty Airport Terminal One redevelopment at Tourism Talks by the Meadowlands Chamber. It’s being held at the Hilton in Hasbrouck Heights.
  • Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Funding Your Business Workshop on Thursday, covering some of the less conventional options like Micro-Loans, Crowdfunding, Factoring and Online Business Loans.

Happy networking all!
