Policy Committees: A select group of NJBIA members from many different businesses who share a common interest in a particular area of concern. You can join one, or several committees. As a committee member, you will receive Issue Alerts about important legislation affecting your business and how you can take action to support or reject policies in state government. You will also receive timely Issue Reports containing news and updates from our government affairs experts
Employer Legislative Committees: There is no better way to meet with your legislators, network with your colleagues, and learn about issues affecting your business than to attend your local ELC meetings. The ELCs, established by NJBIA in 1959, are independent, local organizations representing all 21 counties. ELCs meet regularly for breakfast or lunch. These meetings take no longer than 90 minutes. At each meeting, legislators, cabinet members or local officials will discuss important issues pertinent to business. You will also receive a briefing from one of NJBIA’s government affairs experts on legislative and regulatory issues affecting employers.
Online Member Communities: NJBIA offers a number of online communities where members can communicate with each other and share common interests. Current communities include our Manufacturing Network, NJBIA Ambassadors Network, Information and Technology Network, the Small Business Network, Women Business Leaders Network and the Young Professionals Network.
