Pete Cammarano, the long-time aide to Gov. Richard Codey, has been selected as chief of staff by Gov.-Elect Phil Murphy.
Currently a lobbyist for CLB Partners, Cammarano was Codey’s chief of staff when he was governor in 2004 and served 10 years as chief of staff of Codey’s Senate office before that. The news website NJ.com also reported that Murphy campaign staffer Matt Platkin will serve as chief counsel.
“The people have entrusted us to make New Jersey the place where progressive ideals and responsible government go hand-in-hand,” Murphy said. “With Pete and Matt leading the team, we will be in a strong position to achieve that goal.”
