Republican candidate for governor Kim Guadagno said yesterday she believes the No. 1 issue is property taxes and says she’s the only candidate with a plan on the issue.

As correspondent Leah Mishkin of NJTV News reported, Guadagno spoke at the Opportunity NJ Affordability Summit.

“If you’re running for governor and the No. 1 problem in this state is property taxes, you better have a plan. Let them like it or not. My plan is really quite simple. I’m going to save, on average, $800 for those who need it most,” said Guadagno.

OpportunityNJ brought business, community and political leaders together to tackle affordability. It’s not the first time it’s been discussed, but this summit aimed to come up with concrete solutions.
