The consulting firm Mercer says New Jersey employers expect their health insurance costs to rise by an average of 5 percent in 2018. That’s the conclusion of Mercer’s “Survey of Employer Sponsored Health Plans.”

As Mercer consultant Rich Fuerstenberg told New Jersey 101.5 news radio, “Employee cost-sharing is staying relatively stable, so we would expect that if employer costs are going up 5 percent, employee costs are also going up by 5 percent.”
