Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation to allow healthcare providers to utilize modern technology to deliver more efficient healthcare services by establishing a framework for the responsible use of telehealth and telemedicine services for New Jersey residents. The legislation, S-291 (Vitale, Whalen) will help improve access to healthcare and reduce the need for expensive emergency room visits. The law takes effect immediately.
