Are your employees ready for the holidays? The answer to that question could affect everything from workforce performance to employee retention.

The news website HRDive reports that employees’ anxiety rises during the holidays as they try to balance holiday events, a heavy workload and fewer co-workers to take on some duties.

“While more money tops employees’ list of preferences, flexible work schedules and remote-work options are high on the list and can give them some of the balance they need during the holidays,” writer Valerie Bolden Barrett says. “Employers that can offer either or both benefits, especially during the busiest time of the year, can do a lot to help employees stay engaged and productive.”
