Affordable Employee Training Exclusively for NJBIA Members LEARN MORE

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has responded to the request from Gov. Phil Murphy and Marlene Caride, commissioner of the Department of Banking and Insurance, that businesses to do what they could to help New Jersey residents impacted by the government shutdown.

In a piece you can read on Horizon Health News, Chris Lepre, Horizon’s Executive Vice President for Commercial Business, said:

“We’ve always sought to do our part to help our members during times of crisis or natural disasters. Being there when our members need us most is who we are as an organization. And, as New Jersey’s local health insurer, we’re keenly aware that the people affected are our neighbors, friends and family.

“At moments like this, no one should have to choose between paying for health insurance or feeding their family. We’re committed to working with our members to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
