Edison Partners leads $10M growth investment in Health Recovery Solutions
PRINCETON  – According to Anthony Vecchione of NJBIZ,  Princeton-based growth equity firm Edison Partners has announced it is leading a $10 million investment in Hoboken-based Health Recovery Solutions (HRS), a provider of remote patient monitoring.” The funds will be used to accelerate Health Recovery Solutions’ go-to-market capabilities and augment its best-in-class technology platform within the $12 billion telemedicine market.

Gov. Murphy signs bill establishing STEM education program
TRENTON- According to the NJBIZ , Gov. Phil Murphy has signed into law a bill establishing a STEM program intended to help provide nonpublic school children with the resources essential to succeeding in the technologically driven world. The New Jersey Legislature passed Senate Bill 2660, which will provide grants for STEM teachers in nonpublic schools. The bill takes effect immediately.

Women in STEM Wanted: Young Ladies Who Like Math & Science
BRIDGEWATER – Somerset County Freeholder Deputy Director Patricia Walsh invites girls in grades seven and eight to apply to the Commission on the Status of Women’s fourth annual STEM program. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School located on Vogt Drive. The program is limited to 90 girls. The deadline to apply is Oct. 4.

Rutgers University Event Highlights Research at NJ Academic Institutions
NEW BRUNSWICK – The New Jersey Core Facility Showcase will highlight the research services that are provided by academic institutions from around the state. These services span all disciplines including structural biology, genomics, imaging and materials science. Flash talks and poster presentations by core facilities will provide attendees (faculty, staff and potential industry customers) with first-hand insight into the services that are available in New Jersey.

Check-up time: Panel Examines the State of Healthcare Technology in NJ
SOMERSET – Privacy, data security, data quality, mobile apps and wearables dominated a Health Care Technology panel discussion presented by NJBIZ on Aug. 27 in Somerset. Moderated by Dean Paranicas, president and CEO of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey, a panel of experts discussed broad themes involving providers, patients and insurance companies. They also addressed some of the challenges that technology poses for the health care industry.
