On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the NJEDA and Ocean County Vocational Technical School signed a Memorandum of Understanding at OCVTS in Jackson officially kicking off the Manufacturing Policy Academy’s Marketing and Outreach Pilot. The MOU makes official NJEDA and OCVTS’ partnership in providing free field trips for Ocean County students to visit local advanced manufacturing firms and learn more about the benefit of a career in advanced manufacturing in New Jersey. These trips, as well as video content and a pathways document that will be distributed to participating students, will help dispel common misconceptions around advanced manufacturing and showcase it as an attractive career choice for New Jersey students to pursue.
