Assemblyman Craig Coughlin took over as Assembly Speaker, while the Senate will be led again by Senate President Stephen Sweeney. All standing reference committees will have new memberships as well.
“We are fortunate to have such a dynamic group of individuals with diverse backgrounds in our caucus,” Coughlin said as the new Assembly was sworn in. “This has enabled us to put together an outstanding team that will help guide our policy agenda for the next two years.”
Gov.-elect Phil Murphy and Lt. Gov.-elect Shelia Oliver will be sworn in next week.
