New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities (NJASCU) will host its 2017 Symposium on Higher Education on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the War Memorial in Trenton. The keynote speaker is former Governor James Florio, who will be speaking about the lifelong value of a bachelor’s degree.
His presentation will be followed by thought-provoking panel discussions about the importance of bachelor’s degrees for New Jersey’s economy and institutional strategies to ensure that affordability goes hand in hand with excellence in higher education. Panel participants include: prominent New Jersey legislators, public university/college presidents, and business leaders, including NJBIA’s President and CEO Michele Siekerka.
