While uncertainty surrounds federal policy on healthcare, the advocacy group Better Choices, Better Care NJ is focusing on stabilizing the healthcare system on the state level. This week, it released 15 policy recommendations that can be implemented through state executive or legislative action.
“We strongly believe these actions will make healthcare in New Jersey less costly, of higher quality, and more accessible,” according to the group’s white paper.
The recommendations fall under one of four major categories:
- Increasing Access to Affordable, Quality Healthcare
- Keeping Health Insurance Costs from Skyrocketing
- Reforming Medicaid
- Promoting Patient Centered Care
