Over the last decade Storm Water Mitigation Programs have been discussed by the Legislature and have been controversial because of who will ultimately pay for them and at what cost.  The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) has historically opposed these bills because of the fees associated with them.

NJBIA understands the laudable goal of addressing non-point source pollution, flooding and infrastructure needs.  However, we believe a comprehensive plan for our water infrastructure, that also mitigates the impact on ratepayers, should be considered versus a new fee on ratepayers.

We are seeking feedback from our membership on the latest bill, S-1073. To submit any recommendations or feedback, please reach out to me at tbawidamann@njbia.org.

Your input is vital as this legislation begins to make its way through the Legislature.  Whether it is a particular policy that is a burden to your business or clients, it is important that we hear from you.  Thank you in advance for your comments and please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
