TRENTON – Senator Paul Sarlo, the chairman of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, announced the panel’s schedule of hearings to review the budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year. The hearings will cover the individual departments of state government as well as the economic projections by the Office of Legislative Services and the State Treasurer.

“We will engage in a thorough review of the budget proposal as we work to adopt a responsible fiscal plan that is responsive to the needs of the people of New Jersey,” said Senator Sarlo. “The hearings will put a focus on the spending that supports the programs and services of government. We need to continue our efforts to identify cost savings and efficiencies so that we have the resources to meet our priorities and invest in expanded opportunities.”
