According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, New Jersey women who were full-time wage and salary workers had median weekly earnings of $933, or 81.3% of the $1,148 median weekly earnings for their male counterparts.

  • The women’s-to-men’s earnings ratio in New Jersey changed little from the previous year.
  • Since 1997, the New Jersey women’s-to-men’s earnings ratio has ranged from a low of 74.3% in 2004 to a high of 84.8% in 2010.
  • Nationally, the women’s-to-men’s earnings ratio has remained in the 80-83% range since 2004.
